Sources and Methodology

Official international and national reference points used for Compare Buy Insurance editorial research.

Site informationInternational scopeUpdated August 2026

The site uses official and primary sources to explain broad insurance comparison principles. Because it serves an international audience, readers must also consult the regulator and policy documents for their own jurisdiction.

International and regional reference points

Method

Official material is used to identify durable comparison themes: cost and cover must be examined together; deductibles or excess affect claim cost; limits and exclusions matter; the legal insurer and intermediary should be verified; and consumer information must be read alongside the complete contract.

Limits

No source list can cover every country, state, province, territory, insurance class, or recent legal change. The local regulator and issued wording remain the controlling references.
